I guess I’m not dead

Just busy, but hey, when isn’t it?

I received the keys to the official training blog at my firm today, which I’m going to be responsible for getting up and running, and maintaining. It’s using SharePoint, but we’ve added some third party functionality, as the raw SharePoint tools are. . . primitive?. . . for want of a better term. It has some interesting things built-in, including a full-screen calendar listing out all entries for the day to click through. I’m going to be the first official blogger in the firm, which is cool. We’ll learn from what I do and apply it to all blogs that get started up.

Finding uses for twitter, too. I’ve been contacted by a software company based on comments I’ve made regarding their software (I was praising it), and there’s a cool almost-real-time/sort-of-message-board-threads feel to it that can be leveraged in interesting ways. Will have to mull it over, as others are doing.
