I’ve posted before about the time I met Michael, being fortunate enough to see the episode Babylon Squared in his apartment in NYC. This all makes sense, now, given his behaviour.
The Wertzone: J. Michael Straczynski reveals why Michael O’Hare left BABYLON 5.
yes, it’s an amazing story. When were you in his apartment?!
First season, when Babylon Squared aired for the first time. He was super nice, but you could tell something was off. Tim, my sis’s ex, wrote a few issues of the B5 comic, and also did a TNG episode (Identity Crisis). He may pop up here cos I mentioned him.
I blogged about this over here: http://www.youareatree.com/index.php/2013/02/it-was-twenty-years-ago-today-babylon-5/
I had a large supply of B5 comics I had written that featured Sinclair, and had asked Michael to autograph them so I could sell/auction them for charity. He was a no-show at our arranged rendezvous. In fact, I don’t think I ever heard from him again after that. It’s probably related. He was a true gentleman and a very sweet person in the short time I got to know him.
Truly a big loss and very sad.
