a hobo's song

Good piece here on Google Plus and what has happened over its two years of life. Not surprisingly, it appears tech news articles get shared with a higher percentage there than non-tech. Somewhat amusing to me is that Google tried to claim G+ wasn’t a Facebook killer when they first launched it. I must have missed that memo.

I post to G+ from the blog. There’s a lovely little icon at the bottom of every post (look down, you’ll see it), and occasionally I’ll get a +1 from there (usually my friend, Jeff), but that’s it. I wanted to like it and convert to it, but sadly, the Behemoth That Ate The Web (aka Facebook) won the war. Most folks I know who looked at G+ decided to keep what they knew.
